McDonell Jazz Newsletter
Our Jazz Ensemble has a couple of dates coming up that are exciting the students in the band. This letter is a heads up. Put these dates on the calendar, and make them a priority. We simply cannot do them without every member present.
February 9th: Mardi-Gras…The band plays from 6:00PM to 7:00PM. Arrive at 5:30 for warm up. The band will be fed a meal. Pizza!!
February 16th: Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra Honors band. Congratulations to Caleb Parkhurst, Isaac Goettl, Frankie Rineck, and Samuel Zwickel. They will be performing at the State Theatre with two all-star jazz ensembles and two great professional soloists. This is an all day event, so block off all of the 16th for these four honors students.
March 12th: McDonell Mid-Winter Concert. 6:30 call…7:00PM concert.
April 6th: Eau Claire Jazz Festival. This opportunity is a new addition for our Jazz Ensemble. We will perform selections for a judge who will then rate us for a chance to perform in the evening concert. Please block off this entire day and night.
May 15th: McDonell Spring Concert. 6:30 call. 7:00PM concert.
