Notre Dame Middle School Jazz Band
Jazz band is open to all students. It is preferred that students play the traditional jazz instruments; trumpet, trombone, alto sax, tenor sax, bari sax, drums set, guitar, bass, or piano. However, if you do not play these instruments and really have the desire to be in the band, see the director and an arrangement can be worked out. Though improvisation is highly encouraged it will not necessarily be required of all band members. View more photos
The Notre Dame Middle School Concert Band, an ensemble comprised of students playing wind and percussion instruments, performs high quality, educationally focused wind band repertoire designed to aid the students in their development as instrumentalists and musicians. In addition to performing concerts throughout the school year, the members of the band also contribute to their school community by providing music at various religious functions like weekly Mass and possibly sporting events in conjunction with the McDonell High School Concert Band.
